Farm Credit Welcomes Kiser to Marketing Team

Farm Credit of the Virginias (FCV), a lending cooperative that serves Virginia, West Virginia and western Maryland, recently announced that Jennifer Kiser assumed the role of Marketing and Communications Specialist. Kiser’s home office is the Verona Operations Center, although she will help meet the marketing needs of the association at-large.

Kiser was born and raised in Augusta County, Virginia and grew up helping out on her family’s beef cattle farm. She showed steers at the annual Augusta County 4-H/FFA Market Animal Show throughout middle school and high school. In high school, she was also heavily involved in FFA, earning her State Degree and competing in Livestock Judging, Dairy Judging and Milk Quality & Products.

Kiser graduated from Virginia Tech with a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural and Applied Economics. She completed internships at a variety of organizations during college, including the Virginia Cattlemen’s Association and the Shenandoah Valley Partnership. Following graduation, Kiser assumed a role in economic development and tourism marketing, prior to joining the Farm Credit team.

“I am eager to bring my marketing experience and passion for agriculture to the team. I look forward to supporting our local producers and rural communities by telling the Farm Credit story in fresh and exciting ways,” Kiser said, regarding her new role.

Laura Staley, Marketing Director, said, “We are delighted to have Jennifer join Farm Credit of the Virginias. Her background in agriculture and her work experience in the field of communications will bring great value to the organization and our customer-owners.”

Kiser is an active member of the Skyline Connections Rotary Club. In her spare time, she enjoys exploring new places with her husband, going for walks and runs with her dog and baking sweet treats to share with family and friends.
