Word of the Year - Resonate
So back to the “Word of the Year”…and our list of 4:
We’ve covered Advocate and Educate…
Now we’re on to Resonate. As we advocate for agriculture, and help other to do the same, and as we work to educate people about agriculture, and about different practices in agriculture, resonate is always top of mind.
Because we want what we do to resonate. We want it to make an impact. We want it to have an effect.
That may be as simple as a farmer who takes something learned at a workshop back and implementing it on his or her own farm. Or perhaps it is sharing something about agriculture that allows someone to know more about how their food is produced, and why agriculture is so important. Maybe it is encouraging someone to consider agriculture as a career when they may not have otherwise. Or it could be as simple as helping to start a conversation about food and food production to bridge the gap between farmers and consumers.
There are many ways to resonate, and as we look back at things we have done – workshops, resources, etc. there are a few that stand out as things that truly have resonated…with the ag community, with consumers, within our footprint of Virginia and West Virginia, and beyond.
