Farm Credit of the Virginias recently announced that local resident Casey Hayes has joined the Oakland office as a loan officer. Hayes will report to branch manager, Greg Mitchell.
Hayes’s agricultural background is strong. Originally from Two Egg, Florida, Hayes grew up on her family’s 1500 acre farm in addition to being heavily involved with FFA, receiving both State and American FFA degrees.
Prior to joining Farm Credit of the Virginias, Hayes attended the University of Florida where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Business. Upon graduating, Hayes was hired on with the USDA Farm Service Agency where she went on to work with USDA for 7 years.
Casey and her family will reside on their family farm in Preston County.
