August 14, 2017
As part of a national Farm Credit Farmers Market on July 26, 2017, Jessica Hall from Weyers Cave, VA brought fresh cut flowers to the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C.
Jessica joined more than 600 Farm Credit leaders from all across the country who traveled to Washington to meet with lawmakers and advocate for passing a strong Farm Bill on time that includes a farm safety net.
During the visit, Jessica also met with Congressman Bob Goodlatte and Senators Mark Warner and Tim Kaine to discuss the Farm Bill and how Farm Credit fulfills its mission to support rural communities and agriculture with reliable, consistent credit and financial services.
Jessica is the owner of Harmony Harvest Farm in Rockingham County Virginia. Harmony Harvest is a cut flower farm specializing in unique, hard to source, heirloom flowers for florists
and specialty stores. Jessica also offers specialized event design work in her on-farm studio. She grows hundreds of different hand selected varieties of flowers each year to provide fresh, unique, local flowers of the highest quality. Nestled in the Shenandoah Valley, the flowers and designs are available throughout Virginia and beyond.
