Farm Credit of the Virginias recently announced Alexa Talkington as their new loan officer. A native of Alvy, West Virginia, Alexa will work out of the Clarksburg, WV office.
Talkington has a strong agricultural background having earned a Bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness Management & Rural Development as well as a Masters in Agriculture, Natural Resources & Design from West Virginia University. In addition to her academic background, Alexa grew up raising hogs for the FFA ham & bacon sale.
Prior to joining Farm Credit of the Virginias, Talkington held the role of County Executive Director with the Farm Service Agency in Kingwood, WV.
When asked what she’s most excited to bring to Farm Credit as a new employee, she replied, “I am excited to bring my education and experience working directly with farmers to help the customers in our area meet their financial goals”.
