Our commitment goes beyond financing

Farm Credit of the Virginias values our customer-owners and the rural communities we serve. We recognize the importance of the places our customers, employees, and business affiliates call home. For that reason, we dedicate resources to our communities and the organizations and individuals keeping them strong.

Our community engagement ranges from concerted local efforts to larger-scale regional support. Causes we're passionate about, and continue to seek out opportunities to support, include food security in our footprint, veteran services and resources, youth agriculture involvement and literacy, disaster relief, and more. Farm Credit of the Virginias Makes $17,500 Donation to Local Charities

The Association pledged  a Christmas donation on behalf of their customer-owners and business affiliates divided amongst 19 local charities.

Farm Credit Associations Support Mountaineer Food Bank

MidAtlantic Farm Credit and Farm Credit of the Virginias made a sponsorship totaling $20,000 to the Mountaineer Food Bank to support their participation in the USDA Farmers to Families Food Box Program.

Farm Credit Partners with State Fair of Virginia on Youth Livestock Facility

Colonial Farm Credit, MidAtlantic Farm Credit and Farm Credit of the Virginias partnered with the State Fair of Virginia to fund a modern livestock show facility.

Farm Credit of the Virginias Distributes $6,500 to Institutions Supporting Rural Communities

Branches provided monetary donations to local organizations of their choosing and provided meals to local first-responder units or other institutions benefiting our rural communities.  

Farm Credit Associations Support Federation of Virginia Food Banks

Colonial Farm Credit, MidAtlantic Farm Credit, and Farm Credit of the Virginias made a collaborative sponsorship totaling $50,000 to the Federation of Virginia Foods Banks to support their participation in the USDA Farmers to Families Food Box Program.

Farm Credit Releases Video Celebrating Agricultural Literacy

The association released a video supporting agricultural literacy and paying homage to the 2020 Virginia Agriculture in the Classroom (AITC) Agricultural Literacy Week featured story.
