Farm Credit of the Virginias Surprises WV Customer with John Deere Gator
Farm Credit of the Virginias (FCV), a financial cooperative serving Virginia, West Virginia, and western Maryland, announced in mid-December that Patricia Rodgers, a West Virginia customer-owner, had won a John Deere XUV 590E Gator through a surprise giveaway organized by the association.
The association cancelled their annual and highly-anticipated customer appreciation events due to the coronavirus pandemic. Though disappointed, the association sought new ventures to show appreciation for their valued customer-owners. Unbeknownst to their member-borrowers, all 11,000+ customers were entered into a surprise giveaway to win a John Deere XUV 590E Gator.
By a third-party generated and randomized selection, Rodgers of Baker, West Virginia was drawn to receive this year’s equipment giveaway. The association partnered with James River Equipment, a Farm Credit EXPRESS dealer in Harrisonburg, VA, to provide a brand new 590E John Deere Gator to Rodgers, which was delivered in January.
Brad Cornelius, FCV CEO, was very excited about the initiative and shared, “Without our customer-owners, we could not achieve our tradition and steadfast mission to be the lender of choice for agriculture and our rural communities, and that is worth appreciating!” Cornelius continued, “This is just one of the ways we hope to let our customers know we’re thankful for them.”
