Farm Credit Welcomes Catron as Operations Support Specialist

Farm Credit of the Virginias (FCV), a lending cooperative that serves Virginia, West Virginia and western Maryland, announced that Tyler Catron has joined the Association as an operations support specialist in the Wytheville branch.

Catron is a native of Wytheville, Va. He graduated from Emory and Henry University in May 2025 with two bachelor’s degrees in psychology and exercise science. Additionally, he has obtained several financial certifications and holds a life, health and annuities insurance license. Prior to joining FCV, Catron trained as a financial representative for eight months.

Regarding his new role, Catron shared, “I am excited to bring a strong work ethic and positive energy to the branch.” He continued, “I look forward to improving my career skills while supporting the rural community I grew up in.”

Magen Ayers, loan operations supervisor, shared, “We are pleased to have Tyler join our team. He brings a background in finance that will serve him well in his new role at Farm Credit. Tyler has already gotten off to a strong start, and we are excited to see how he will grow and succeed within the Association.”

Outside of work, Catron loves spending time with his wife and dog, playing golf with friends and spending time outdoors. He also attends Rural Retreat Baptist Church.
