Farm Credit Welcomes New Lender Tina Puckett to Abingdon

Farm Credit of the Virginias (FCV) recently announced Tina Puckett assumed the vacant loan officer position at the Abingdon, Virginia branch. Puckett joins the Association with significant banking experience serving the Washington, Smyth and Russell Counties.

Puckett is no stranger to the banking industry. Previously, she served as First VP with New Peoples Bank, and has a total of 33 years in the industry.

Originally from Smyth County, Puckett grew up on her family’s farm where they grew tobacco and touted large produce gardens. Her ties to agriculture don’t stop there, however. She also frequently visited her grandparents’ farm in Rich Valley where they grew tobacco as well and raised plow horses and cattle.

In her community, Puckett is a member of Abingdon Church of Christ, serves on the committee for the Washington County Chamber of Commerce, and the foundation board for Johnston Memorial Hospital.

Regarding her new role, Puckett says, “I am excited to serve Farm Credit Customers and love finding opportunities to assist clients with their financial needs, whether it is purchasing equipment, property, cattle or otherwise.”

Vinson Snuffer, Regional Sales and Lending Manager says, “Tina has a passion for lending and understands FCV’s vision to be agriculture’s and our rural communities lender of choice.  I am excited and confident that she has a bright future ahead at FCV. “

In her spare time, Puckett loves to spend time with family, friends and her dog. She also enjoys being outdoors, hiking and exploring new areas.
