Farm Credit of the Virginias (FCV), a lending cooperative that serves Virginia, West Virginia and western Maryland, announced that former intern, Madison Wheeler, has joined the Association full-time as a training coordinator. Wheeler is based in the headquarters location in Staunton, Va., though her work will support all employees’ professional development across the tristate territory.
Originally from Mount Solon, Va., Wheeler now resides in Harrisonburg. She is a 2026 graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UT), and she received a bachelor’s degree in agriculture and resource economics, with a minor in agricultural communications. She grew up showing and judging livestock from a young age and was active in both 4-H and FFA throughout her middle and high school years. As a student at UT, Wheeler was a member of the National Agri-Marketing Association’s Agri-Marketing team, Block and Bridle, as well as the Ag Business Club.
Regarding her new role, Wheeler shared, “Having grown up with a strong appreciation for agriculture and a passion for learning, I am excited to support Farm Credit’s mission through meaningful learning and development opportunities. I look forward to helping equip Farm Credit employees with the tools and knowledge they need to make a lasting impact on our members and the agriculture industry.”
“I am excited to welcome Madison to the learning and development department as our new training coordinator. Throughout the hiring process, Madison demonstrated a genuine curiosity, strong commitment to growth and an eagerness to contribute to the success of others. As our department continues to evolve and grow at FCV, I am excited to have Madison join us in this next phase of our journey. Her enthusiasm, fresh perspective and commitment to helping others succeed will make her a tremendous asset to our team and the employees we serve, “shared Gabby Brown, manager of learning and development.
In her spare time, Wheeler enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading and watching or attending all of the Tennessee Volunteers sports she can.
