Job Title: Loan Officer
Location: Bedford Branch
Tenure: 2.5 years
Briefly describe your involvement in agriculture. I had limited agricultural experience prior to joining FCV, my time here has allowed me to gain a strong understanding of the industry's needs and requirements.
Are you involved in any other clubs or organizations? I have been a certified firefighter since 1992 and have proudly served the Bedford, Virginia community for many years with the Bedford Fire Department. As a resident of Bedford since 2008, I am deeply committed to supporting and serving the community both professionally and personally.

Tell us about your family. My 16 year-old son, Jackson , is my pride and joy. I am very proud to see him beginning to follow in my footsteps by attending his local Fire/EMS Cadet Academy. Watching him pursue his goal of becoming a career firefighter/EMT has been incredibly rewarding.

Where did you grow up? Although I grew up in Lynchburg, Virginia and always considered myself more of a city person, moving to Bedford in 2008 gave me a new appreciation for rural life. Since then, I have grown to truly value and enjoy country living more than I imagined.
What is your favorite song or artist? I'm still stuck on 90s and early 2000's rock.
What is your favorite quote from a movie? “Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.” Ferris Bueller’s Day Off
What is your favorite season? Football, baseball and basketball season. Go Hoos!

Tell us about your hobbies. Golf has been my favorite hobby for many years, I began playing at a young age and have taught lessons. I enjoy playing in local tournaments whenever possible and also playing recreational rounds with friends.
What is your favorite place you ever visited? I haven't visited it yet, but my bucket list is Wrigley Field in Chicago to watch the Cubs.
What was your dream job as a child? Don't laugh, but when I was much, much younger I wanted to be trash man. The thought of riding on the back of a large truck was exciting to me.
What is your favorite thing about Farm Credit? What I enjoy most about FCV is the opportunity to sit down with clients and truly get to know them. I value learning about their individual needs, helping solve problems and building lasting relationships not only with the borrower, but with the community. Those strong relationships have led to many referrals over time, which I'm grateful for and proud of.
What three words would your friends use to describe you? Dedicated, Open Book and sarcastic humor.
What is one random fact you'd like to share? In early 2024, I was diagnosed with Stage III kidney cancer. In May 2024, I underwent surgery to remove my entire left kidney along with the surrounding mass. Following the procedure and subsequent scans, it was discovered that the cancer had spread to my liver, stomach and lungs, advancing the diagnosis to Stage IV. I am grateful to share that after undergoing multiple rounds of immunotherapy, my body has responded remarkably well, and all remaining cancer cells have been eliminated. As of today, I am cancer free. I give all glory to God for this incredible blessing.
