Job Title: Business Support Specialist
Location: Ripley Branch
Tenure: 18 years

Briefly describe your involvement in agriculture. In my high school years, I was involved in our school greenhouse where we grew plants and flowers to sell. I think I liked this so much because I spend many days and weeks during the summer on my grandparent's farm helping in their greenhouse's. They were tomatoes farmers. We started plants in the greenhouses, then transplanted and moved to the fields. Then came picking, packing and selling. Some of my best memories are times spend on the farm with them.

Tell us about your family. My husband, Delmer is a disabled Veteran. We have two boys that are grown now. So, we are enjoying our time together, just us and our miniature Dachshund, Milo. We do have a granddaughter who is now 2 and lives in Florida so that is always a good reason to take a road trip so someplace warmer. Family is such a big part of my life. I have 3 sisters and we make sure to spend plenty of time together taking fun trips and having adventure with our fun-loving Mother.

Tell us about your pets. I have an adorable 13-pound miniature Dapple Dachshund whose name is Milo. He is now 18 months old. He goes everywhere with my husband while I am at work. He is seldom ever left alone. We have him so spoiled.

What is your favorite personal mantra or motto? Do not ask the Lord to guide your footsteps if you are not willing to move your feet.
What is your favorite movie? The Wizard of OZ. This only came on once a year when I was younger. So when it did, I sit glued to the TV and watched it in awe.
What is your favorite season? I love Summer! The sunshine just makes everything seem better. I love just hanging out on our porches with family and friends. Floating in the pool and enjoying the outside.

What is your dream vacation destination? Well, my husband and I recently went to Scotland for our 25th Anniversary and that was wonderful. I would really like to see Italy next but traveling anywhere is always fun.
Have you ever collected anything? I do collect the Wizard of Oz Hallmark ornaments.
How do you define success? I believe success is being happy in life and making the best out of your current situation and what you have.
What advice would you give a job seeker who is considering a job at FCV? Farm Credit is not just a job. It is a family. A place you start a job at and make a career out of for years.
What are your favorite weekend activities? My husband and I help our friends run their drag strip on the weekends once spring is here and that is always a fun time. Anytime spent with my family, whether we are just hanging out floating in the pool or doing some fun activity we always enjoy ourselves.
If you could have any superpower, what would it be? I am not sure if this is a superpower but there are so many people hurting in this world whether it be from sickness or mentally. It would be nice to be able to easy their pain in someway.

What is your favorite place you ever visited? I just went on my first cruise to Key West and the Bahamas with my mother and sisters. We had the best time, and I can't wait to take another one. I see travel in my future years or at least I hope so.
