Farm Credit Welcomes Coulson as Business Service Specialist

Farm Credit of the Virginias (FCV), a lending cooperative that serves Virginia, West Virginia and western Maryland, announced that Dezra Coulson has joined the Association as a business service specialist in the Wytheville branch.

Coulson currently calls Woodlawn, Va. home, after moving to Virginia from Alaska two years ago. She and her family started a small farm which currently raises Kiko goats, miniature Jersey cows, a small herd of angus cattle, ducks and chickens. They plan to expand their herd slowly over the coming years. Coulson’s sons also participate in the local farmers market, selling a variety of items handmade on their farm, as well as duck and chicken eggs. The family is part of the National Kiko Registry and the New River Valley Sheep and Goat Club.

Coulson brings experience in banking, human resources, management and customer service to her new role with FCV. Regarding her new role, Coulson shared, “I am excited to learn all that I can about Farm Credit’s loan processes and help our members recognize their dreams.” She continued, “I am thrilled with the opportunity to be a part of the Farm Credit team and look forward to what the future holds for me and my career here!”

Brian Repass, Wytheville branch manager, shared, “We are pleased to have Dezra come on board here in Wytheville. Dezra has a strong background in banking and business administration that will serve her well in her new role at Farm Credit. She has already hit the ground running in her new position, and we are excited about where the future will take her within the Association.”

Outside of work, Coulson loves to cook, spend time with her first grandbaby and work with her family around the farm to take care of the animals.
