Farm Credit Welcomes Smith as Business Service Specialist
Farm Credit of the Virginias (FCV), a lending cooperative that serves Virginia, West Virginia and western Maryland, announced that Karington Smith has joined the Association as a business service specialist in the Culpeper branch.
Smith was raised on her family’s farm in Rapidan, Va. and now resides in Culpeper, Va. She earned an associate degree in Business Management from Germanna Community College.
Prior to joining Farm Credit, Smith gained eight years of experience in the banking industry, serving as a teller, bank service representative and marketing assistant. Regarding her new role, Smith shared, “I am excited to bring my passion for the community to Farm Credit. I look forward to reconnecting with people I know and meeting new folks each day. I am also eager to learn more about agricultural lending.”
Becky Ramsey, regional sales and lending manager said, “We are excited to have Karington join the Culpeper team! She brings an extensive background in banking, real estate transactions and customer service that will be an asset to our customers and I look forward to watching her develop in her new role at FCV.”
Outside of work, Smith is a busy mom of three. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, baking and gardening.
