Farm Credit Welcomes von Meister as Risk Intern

Farm Credit of the Virginias (FCV), a lending cooperative that serves Virginia, West Virginia and western Maryland, announced that Maximilian von Meister has joined the Association as a generalist intern with a focus on risk. He is based at the Harrisonburg branch, though he will spend time visiting branches and customer-owners throughout the footprint, as well as shadowing other departments.

Originally from Richmond, Va., von Meister currently resides in Harrisonburg, Va. attending James Madison University (JMU). He is a rising senior, majoring in International Business.

With a strong background in data analytics and customer service from previous work experiences, von Meister is well-equipped for his internship with Farm Credit. He shared, “I am excited to leverage my computational and analytical skills to support our local agricultural communities. I am looking forward to gaining hands-on experience, not only in analytical data, but also visiting our wonderful customers’ operations across the footprint.”

“We’re glad to welcome Maximilian to Farm Credit for the summer. His educational background, passion for learning and strong work ethic will serve him well in his internship,” shared his mentor, Pete Cypret, chief risk officer. “I am confident he will make a positive impact during his time here, and I hope he has a great experience working with other team members and learning more about the communities we serve.”

In his spare time, von Meister enjoys playing billiards, reading, visiting antique stores and has recently picked up disc jockeying.
