Farm Credit of the Virginias Knowledge Center, the educational arm of the cooperative lending institution, recently announced they would host a free event in Blacksburg, Virginia, on February 11, 2020, in which industry representatives will share insight for navigating the beef industry with alternative feeding and marketing solutions.

Farm Credit of the Virginias has recently announced that long-time Special Assets Officer, Steven Cavender, will be retiring on December 31st after 33 years with the Association.

Farm Credit of the Virginias (FCV) recently announced that Steve Slayton of Fishersville, Virginia, has joined the Staunton branch office as a Special Assets Officer. He brings with him many years of experience working in challenging markets, and will certainly be an asset to the team.

Farm Credit of the Virginias (FCV) recently announced that Leigh Beamer of Wythe County, Va., will be assuming the role of Loan Assistant out of the Wytheville Office. Beamer will report to Vanessa Brown, the Wytheville branch’s Loan Operations Supervisor.

Farm Credit of the Virginias (FCV) welcomed Heather Lutman to the team as a Loan Officer this past September. Lutman has brought with her a strong background in both economics and agriculture, and is proving to be a valuable asset to the Association.

Farm Credit of the Virginias (FCV) recently announced that Tom Knight of Lewisburg, West Virginia, has joined the Lewisburg branch office as a Loan Officer. Knight brings with him a wealth of experience in both financial institutions and the agricultural industry.

Farm Credit of the Virginias (FCV) recently announced that Dara Smith of Rural Retreat, Virginia, has joined the team as a Customer Service Representative. Smith will be working out of the Wytheville office and report to Emily Kline, Branch Operations Supervisor.

Farm Credit of the Virginias (FCV) recently announced that Jessica Buckbee of Ripley, West Virginia, has joined the team as a Loan Closer. Buckbee will be working out of the Ripley office and report to Terri Painter, Loan Operations Supervisor.

Farm Credit of the Virginias (FCV) recently announced that Corey Huffman of Warrenton, Virginia, has joined the association as a Loan Officer. He will be reporting to Ryan White and working out of the Harrisonburg branch.

Our recent election has resulted in the following individuals being re-elected to serve as members of our Board of Directors. Their four-year term will commence January 1, 2020.
